Commercial Services

Risk Removal offers a wide range of Environmental solutions

Asbestos:

We have abated asbestos in a variety of commercial properties up and down the front range (including Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley, FT Lupton, Longmont, and Denver), on the Western slope and into Wyoming and Nebraska.  Before undergoing renovations or demolition, your building should undergo testing by certified inspectors to find any suspect asbestos containing materials.  After the materials are identified, you should call a state certified general abatement contractor to develop a course of action to remove the material.  You are welcome to call us to discuss the project and obtain contact information of certified inspectors.

We will work with the property owner to safely remove this hazard on a schedule that meets your needs.  Many times we have worked on nights and weekends to ensure the building can be occupied and operate during the workday.  The EPA guidance for building owners and managers can be found here: https://www.epa.gov/asbestos/building-owners-and-managers.

We have conducted asbestos removal for a variety of companies in the states of Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska.  These companies are large and small.  Some examples of our clients are: First National Bank, Brinkman Construction, AMC theaters, Kodak, Carestream, Woodward and Paramount theaters,

Lead Removal:

Understanding where lead can be found and what to do about it can be a challenge in a commercial environment.  “Where do you find the requirements for discussing lead with tenants?  Who do you use to determine if there is lead on the premises?  What are the next steps to determine if lead is confirmed on the premises?  What are the right steps to take if you are going to renovate or demolish the building?”  There are governmental regulations in place to minimize the possibility of creating a situation where lead and lead dust could create a environmentally hazardous situation.  When thinking about buildings built before 1978, lead contamination should be a concern for the owner.  This is a link that you can use for resources when discussing lead with building tenants: https://www.hud.gov/program_offices/healthy_homes/enforcement/disclosure

Risk Removal is a certified lead abatement firm and has completed many projects where we have removed lead paint and soil contaminated with lead dust.   Please contact us to speak with an expert on lead removal.
